Life Fitness Journal #3
- During the semester, in what ways did your physical health and fitness change for the better? - During this semester I don’t feel like I have had any positive changes regarding my physical and fitness health. As I continued the semester I decreased in my efforts to better these categories I had a super hard semester so when it came to these factors I put them to the end of my list.
- What areas didn’t change in the way you had hoped or planned?
- I had hoped that my physical and mental strength would change during this whole experience, but I had no success in the area.
- During the semester, in what ways did your spiritual health and fitness change for the better? - During this semester I feel that I drifted further away from a spiritual connection. I feel that I have had many obstacles thrown at me and made not want to be apart of something that is supposed to be light and happiness. I did not have the luxury to have those in my life so I refuse to believe in someone who would provide so much heartache.
- What areas didn’t it change in the way you had hoped or planned?
- The way I wanted them to change is by getting an understanding in Gods work and understand that the things that happened to me in my life are for the greater good.
- What are your biggest lessons learned about changing your lifestyle in ways that positively influence your physical and spiritual health and fitness? - the biggest lesson I have learned about changing my lifestyle in ways that would positively influence my physical and spiritual health and fitness is that you have to be motivated and serious about making the change. If there is no motivation or drive for the change, then there will be no results by the end of the journey.
- What are the most valuable lessons you have learned that will allow you to professionally care for (educate, motivate, support) the physical and spiritual health and fitness of future clients and patients? - The most valuable lesson I have learned that will allow me to professionally care for the physical and spiritual health and fitness of future clients and patients is that it is important to take the time and checkin on yourself wether that is just a walk or taking time to see how you are doing is so important. Especially with the craziness of the pandemic, taking the necessary time to self reflect and get away from social media is necessary. A few ideas, based on what I have done as part of my time checking in on myself included, mediation, spending time in prayer, and journaling.
- In what ways have you learned the Christian faith and spiritual practices speak into and provide support for taking better care of one’s body and living a healthy lifestyle? - I have noticed that having a strong faith based approach to bettering oneself there is a greater sense of a support system. I personally did not have a spiritual approach so when I look and compare the results of my experience and a friend of mines the difference in the approach shows.
- What are your plans for your physical and spiritual health and fitness as you move forward from here? - Moving forward I want to be able to think more about my health and make plans that will benefit me in the future I know that with great physical health and active lifestyle my days will feel better so I would like to better those things in my life with the hopes that I can be happy.
